It was NOT easy getting in this thing. Yes, I'm on my hands and knees. And hopefully I won't hit my head!! You can tell these men that were in these planes weren't for men as big as me!!

Some pin up action!!

On June 4 we decided to go to the local, very small airport. I heard they were having an open house. I thought Owen would really enjoy this since he loves airplanes. We didn't know much about what they would have there. We thought we could just check it out. I thought I heard something about them having a World War II plane there. I talked Mike into going and doing this during his lunch hour. There were hardly any people there when we got there. They had this awesome World War II B17 bomber there. It was so cool seeing this thing! It was so much bigger than what I thought they looked like. We were able to go inside. You can see the ladder at the front of the plane to get in. We were literally on our hands and knees getting in. Everything was just as it would have been back then. I was amazed at how big this was, yet not much room to get around. Mike was educating us on what they did with it. I couldn't get over the fact that they had someone in the belly ball at the bottom of the plane. The guy who rode in there rotated 360 degrees to be able to shoot. Mike said they hated those guys and if they could they would shoot them off the bottom of the plane. Not a fun job!! This plane was just here in Logan for part of a tour they are doing. We came back and watched it take off at 7 p.m. It was incredible. I have so much respect and appreciation for our military. But when you see things like this and some of the missions they had to do, you gain even more respect.

Mesquite 2010

Every year in May my coworkers and I go to Mesquite. Just us. Not our kids or husbands. We have soooo stinkin much fun. We play games, laugh, hang out, laugh, go to the pool, laugh, shop, laugh, eat a ton (love the crab legs!!), and don't forget laugh. It is amazing the amount of fun we have. And there is no alcohol involved. It feels so good to be with these guys and recharge. We all have a fab time. And it is definately needed. This year we had a few unpleasant surprises with the condo and cleanliness that we rented. But it all turned out ok. These are a few pictures that we took. I'll probably get in trouble for showing. But there are worse ones I could show. haha. I love all of our synchronized swim moves!! I think the one of Caitlyn trying dunk me is great. She weighs like 90 lbs. soak and wet. Or is she trying to kiss me? jk. Then there is the one of Shelly and her bum. We say that is her best asset. And of course the one of all of us at the top. What a great time!! Thank you girls!! Can't wait until next year!! Only thing missing was Courtney....

Memorial Day 2010

Memorial Day. I decided it might be fun for the kids to make pots for my Dad and Sidnee. I just got some pots and let them paint them however they wanted. They had a ton of fun doing this. Addie is my crafty girl so of course she was really into this. When I put the paint of Owen's hand to make his hand print for my Dad, he looked at me like are you sure this is ok?! It was pretty funny. These are the arrangements I took up for Sidnee and Dad. These are the pictures from their grave. I feel so blessed that so many people remember Sidnee. I also always feel a warm sense of pride as I go up to the cemetary on Memorial Day. Everyone always goes crazy decorating their loved ones graves. It is remarkable they way the pay tribute.( As it should be)

Nanny, Dave, Owen, and I attended. Mike wasn't able to be there cause he was in charge of graduation at his work. I am so proud of her and her work with the piano.

Helping Nanny plant flowers

Mom likes to do a lot more flowers than I do. I like just the basics. She bought a lot this year and needed help planting them. So the kids and I went up to help. I had to laugh cause she had this visor for Addie and a pair of little gloves for them both. They had a great time helping. Addie always loves to help people. Owen thought he was doing something special. (I won't tell him all he did was make a mess in the dirt!!!)

Mother's Day 2010

This year for Mother's Day I spoke in church. Lucky me??? After church we went to a park and had a little picnic. Easy and no fuss. Just how I like it. The kids found this awesome tree to play in so we took some pictures. Obviously, you can see what the best picture of the day was. Why that kid decides to whip it out and go when we are in the outdoors, I do not know. Maybe it's a boy thing. I guess I should be thankful he doesn't do it inside. And he only decides to do it when we are"one with nature".

I am so grateful to be a mom. It truely is the greatest blessing. I have the greatest kids ever. The make me laugh everyday. Even though some days drive me crazy, I know they won't always be this little. I dread the day the grow up. But at the same time, love being a part of each new milestone.

I am also very grateful for my Mom. She is such a blessing in our lives. She does so much for us. And cares so much too. How lucky am I to have the best kids, best husband, and best parents?!!!

Every year the day before Mother's Day Smithfield has the Health Days celebration. It involves a parade and many other fun things. However, Ryan and his kids sat with us. His wife was out of town. I wasn't too excited to deal with Ryan and Mike all by myself. haha. Our kids are a blast at the parade. It's certainly nothing fancy. But they sure have a good time!!

Later that night we went to the demolition derby in Logan. We started going to these last year cause we thought Owen would have a good time watching the cars smash and bash. Turns out, we all love watching it. I love watching it cause of all the people watching I get to do. There are definately some interesting folk at these things.

Owen's special day at preschool

Owen's Special Day at preschool. This is teacher Tana and Owen on his special day. Each year Tana sets aside 1 day that is devoted to that kid. They get to make a poster of them and bring it to school. They get to choose a crown. Bring a snack of their choice, and do many other fun things. Mike and I both came from work, but we were really happy we got to be there for part of his special day.
