Mesquite

We go to Mesquite NV. every year. It was Sidnee's favorite place to go. So we try to go around the time she passed away. Just to spend time as a family and celebrate her. She is certainly something we should celebrate. This year we were thinking we probably wouldn't be able to go. Between our schedules, Patti's schedule, and hoping Owen would have his tonsils out then, it didn't look good. But we found out that we could make it work. We were so excited to go. And FINALLY get some sun. Unfortunately, Dave called the morning we were to leave to say they wouldn't be able to go. Mom had been in the ER all night with maybe food poisoning. I was so bummed. We decided to go without them. We stopped in St. George to eat at In-N-Out. Mike wasn't that impressed, but the kids and I enjoyed it. Then onto Mesquite. We got up the next morning and pretty much spent the day at the pool at the Casa Blanca hotel. These are some great pix of the kids playing at the pool. Addie loved the water slide. Owen, not so much. He was content just swimming around with his water wings. Mom was feeling better and she and Dave decided to drive down. I was so glad. We had all you can eat crab legs that night. This is one of Addie cracking into her crab leg. Ummm. Loved it!! Debbie (my cousin) and her daughter joined us for dinner. It was fun to catch up. The next day we swam again. Then went to dinner. After dinner Mom and Dave took the kids for us so Mike and I could go to the free comedy show. It was really funny. It was a great trip. Too bad when we got home Dave was in the hospital for a bowel blockage.
