Addie had her first day of 1st grade on August 20, 2009. She was pretty excited to start school. I wasn't sure how I felt. I knew she needed to go back. (she was driving me crazy with her boredom!!!) I found that me and Owen did just fine without her. When I went to pick her up, I asked how school was. She told me it was just great cause they had nachos for lunch. A kid after my own heart!! Basing her day on what was for lunch!!! She thinks this whole new having lunch at school thing is pretty cool. Her teacher is Miss Reynolds. She seems very nice, and didn't mind all the hugs Addie wanted to give her.
Is Addie short for anything? We have an Addie too! Ours is short for Adelaide. She is in 2nd grade this year. :)

ReplyDeleteThey went back to school earlier then we did. She looks so grown up. I am glad she likes her teacher. (we never mind hugs!!). Make sure she reads every night...
